Freight Operator DB Shenker has offered some more redundant diesel locomotives for sale via competitive tender.
Six of these 50 year old diesels are up for sale by DB Shenker, but beware, they are currently located at Perpignan St. Charles Faisceau International in France.
The locomotives concerned are as follows:
DBs has indicated that these could be moved to their depot near Nottingham at Toton for collection.
As is normal for this type of sale, the locomotives will be sold as seen and as and where lying, whether this be from Perpignan St. Charles Faisceau International or Toton TMD. The successful bidders will be required to remove the Locomotives at their own expense.

The closing date for registrations of interest for these locomotives is at 1000hrs Tuesday 28th February, 2012.
Tender documents will be issued shortly after this date.
These Locomotives are offered for sale by means of competitive open tender in accordance with the DBSR “Code of Practice for the identification, Sale and/or Disposal of Surplus Locomotives”.
A reserve price has been set against each locomotive offered for sale.
All Tenderers will be given the opportunity to undertake inspection of these locomotives by prior arrangement ONLY.
These locomotives shall be disposed of in a manner which is fair and non-discriminatory and which complies with safety and environmental considerations.
Contract for the sale for these Locomotives shall be awarded to the Tenderer with the highest present value offered over the set reserve price. In addition speed of sales/site clearance and payment terms may be taken into account.

Two of the British Rail built class 58 locomotives are also being offered for sale by DB Shenker.
These are at Eastleigh LNWR Depot and numbered 58017 and 58037.
The bidding rules are as for the class 37s outlined above.
