No. 37229 took three sets of railhead treatment train (RHTT) wagons from Carlisle Kingmoor to York Thrall works via the Tyne Valley line.
Type 4s Nos. 47810 and 47790 top-and-tailed the luxury Northern Belle train from Warrington to Helensburgh, north of Glasgow, and back.
‘Bodysnatcher’ No. 57603 ‘Tintagel Castle’ returned to Old Oak Common from Brush Loughborough works sporting a new coat of First Great Western blue livery.
DBS No. 66126 worked from Eastleigh to Bristol Temple Meads with 47815 and the coaching stock for the summer season of ‘Torbay Express’ trains.
The royal train visited Penzance today as part of The Queen’s visit to the Isles of Scilly. Claret-liveried ‘Skips’ Nos. 67005 ‘Queen’s Messenger’ and 67006 ‘Royal Sovereign’ provided the top-and-tail power, later working the stock back to Wolverton via Reading.
‘Pacer’ No. 143612 and single-car No. 153399 made an unusual pairing on the 14.23 Exmouth to Paignton.
