Cruise Liner Charter Train Details

Cruise Liner Express trains are operated by Direct Rail Services for passengers embarking on a cruise from Southampton Docks or returning from their cruise.

Cruise Liner Express

Trains are normally pulled by double-headed DRS class 47s and the carriages supplied by Riviera Trains. The idea behind these trains is that passengers can travel in comfort from their home town or city direct to the quayside where their ship is waiting.

And that is the crucial point here, the ship will NOT depart until the train has arrived and passengers transferred. Luggage is taken care of as well and check-in formalities are carried out on the train but not interrupting the full dining service enjoyed by cruisers.

Single Tickets for Enthusiasts

One way tickets are available if there are any unsold seats and anyone interested should contact the Cruise Saver Travel office for details. The trains will operate as follows in the next month:

October 9. Southampton Docks-Solihull-Derby-Leeds-Newcastle-Edinburgh.

October 21.Glasgow-Carlisle-Preston-Stockport-Southampton Docks.

October 23. Southampton Docks-Solihull-Derby-Leeds-Newcastle-Edinburgh.

October 30.Glasgow-Carlisle-Preston-Stockport-Southampton Docks.

November 4.Southampton Docks-Stockport-Preston-Carlisle-Glasgow.
