October 2014

Oct 18. 46233. ‘Thames Clyde Express’. Nottingham-Alfreton-Chesterfield-Sheffield-Normanton and return by Diesel. Steam Hellifield-Carlisle and return.

Oct 25. 46233. ‘The Appleby Explorer’. Diesel Derby-Uttoxeter-Stoke-Crewe and return by diesel. Steam Crewe-Shap-Carlisle Ais Gill-Crewe.

Fundraising Tours

PMR Tours is the commercial arm of the Trust that owns the LMS Duchess No. 6233 ‘Duchess of Sutherland’, currently under restoration at their base in Butterley. They are running a few fundraising tours to help pay for the overhaul starting on May 21 using No. 6201 on ‘The Yorkshire Coronation’ between Derby, Belper and York to Scarborough. The train runs diesel hauled from Sheffield, Chesterfield and Alfreton.

June 2013

June 8. 46233. ‘The Northeastern’. Diesel hauled between Sheffield-Chesterfield-Alfreton-Derby in each direction then steam to York-Newcastle-York-Derby.
