UK Railtours has kindly offered a pair of standard class tickets on their HST charter from St. Pancras to York on June 2nd which calls at Luton Airport Parkway and Kettering.
This is another UK Railtours service operated by an East Midlands Trains High Speed Trainset which is capable of 125mph. The train is selling fast and first class accommodation has already been fully booked and only a few standard class seats remain available.
This train leaves St. Pancras at around 0740am and arrives at York around four hours later offering over five hours to visit the City or the NRM’s Railfest itself before departing back for London calling as outward.
UK Railtours promote around 40 special charter trains a year and use a variety of steam and diesel locomotives in addition to HSTs and takes thousands of repeat passengers to diverse locations around the UK.
By using trains capable of travelling at 125mph, UKR is able to offer comfortable visits to far flung places such as a day trip over the Settle and Carlisle line from London on August 18. This train returns from Carlisle over the scenic Tyne Valley route running parallel with Hadrian’s Wall in some places.
It also gives rare opportunities to travel over lines not usually open to passenger trains under their ‘Forgotten Tracks’ banner. For example, one of these trains is going to the Northumberland coast at Boulby in September.
To receive details of all UKR’s special trains emailed every Friday, send them an email to: info@ukrailtours.com.
To enter, all you have to do is answer the following question:
